Bought OEM c6 wheels for my C5. Got hub-centric 25mm spacers with extended studs for the rear wheels and got everything installed correctly.
Now my problems go as followed:
Clicking sounds coming from the rear during hard acceleration
Whole vehicle shakes at 80mph onwards, before that, it is rock solid.
Now there's also a few explanations. The rear tires are very low tread, and may need to be balanced. I also do not have an alignment. Would those factors explain my problems? Or is it a problem with the spacers?
Have you re-torqued the wheels since you installed them? If you install wheel spacers you need to re-torque the wheels several times before they will settle. When I did mine it said to re-torque after every 10 miles until they stayed tight, and then check them again at 100 miles. I had vibrations in the car until the wheels were settled.

I did re-torque it but only once after 100 miles. So I should keep doing that until it stops?
That would be the first thing I would check. If they're all tight then it might be the wheel balance.
I don't think alignment will cause vibrations or noise... unless your alignment issue is due to a worn suspension component.
If you feel the vibration more in the steering wheel than the rest of the vehicle the problem is in the front. If the vehicle shakes and the steering feels fairly rigid it is in the rear.

Steering is rigid, feels like vibration is coming from the entire vehicle. I'm getting it balanced now so hopefully that will fix the issue
I did the C6 wheels conversion, turned out 3 of the wheels were 'slightly bent'. I'm in the Boston Area, so I took my car to Wheel Repair Specialists on Rte 1 south in Peabody, MA. Incredible technology, by my standards. Their Wheel Balancer alone was worth the trip. They do a "Road Force Balance, where the wheel and tire ride against another drum while balancing. Straightened my car out completely. Smooth as glass. Forever bringing her to them whenever I buy tires. Can have the new tires delivered to them, and all mounting and balancing done and no more problems. One shop that I 'almost' took the work to had a wheel on their shop floor that THEY had broken on their tire machine. I RAN away. My only question to you would be, "Are your spacers 'generic', or did you get them 'specifically' for your car. I got my 'Adapters' from http://www.motorsport-tech.com/contact.html They're in Nevada. Worth every penny.
