General consensus of the 4L60 is it sucks and isn't worth throwing the money at it if you're serious about racing.

The 4L80E is an option if you want OD and a trans just as strong as a TH400, but probably not needed for a track only car. If your experimenting with gear ratios using a TH400 you can try a 2.75 1st gear in place of the stock 2.48. Not sure if that would help or hurt if your using 4.10 rear gears?

SLR would be a bit much with a 2.75 first and 4.10s. I wasn't too happy with it using the stock 2.48 and 4.10s, That's why I went with a 3.73 rear gear.

Of course, every combo is different and you need to find what works for you.

I'm pretty happy with how my car works right now.

Do you still have the files from the adapter plates you had made?

I don't have the files.

There's a machine shop in central Jersey that has them because they made the plates.

Feel free to pm me if your want their contact info.

Just read this thread, as I am contemplating a swap to an A/T in my supercharged Z. However, I don't race, and I would want a newer 6 or 8 (prefer the 8 speed) AT. This is for health reasons, as I want to keep my '02, but at this point, a modern AT with multiple ODs would be my preference. Do you know it this' possible?

Anything is possible. I’ve not done that swap though.

Do a search, or start a thread is my suggestion.
