Default EBCM or TAC module

I bought my 01 Z about 2.5 years ago and drove it home 1,100+ miles. When A friend came over to take a look the brake lights didn't work. After searching around a while I traced it down to the LT blue wire from the EBCM having ground and not +V on it. The wire is not shorted, I have cleaned all the grounds ect... The Ground is only there when the key is on and it pops the brake light fuse as soon as the pedal is touched. So for a quick fix I cut the LT blue wire under the dash. This works fine unless I stand on the brakes hard or if I am braking a little hard while turning. Then the service TCS light comes on.

No Codes at all with the wire uncut.

Anyone seen this before?

I still don't have a FSM

Just don't want to waste money throwing parts at it. I've been thinking about selling it, but I want to fox this first.

TIA!

Pill the FUSE. Reconnect the cut wire.

Check the continuity from the fuse feed side ( BLUE WIRE SIDE of the fuse socket) for the TAC module to chassis ground. That wire should NOT be shorted or show low resistance.

If it does, DISCONNECT the TAC Module connector and repeat and see if there is a short to ground on that wire.

You will need to find out where the wire is grounded if you get any sort of resistance reading.
