Default C5 Fog Lights

Fog lights:
Yes they do come apart. They are all glued together, but it looks like they glued the lens in with clear silicone. There is a snap on retainer over the lens as well, but that comes right off.
So, I was able to take a long punch, with a rubberized tip and put it thru where the bulb goes and push it up against the inside of the lens and I was strong enough to just push the lens free.
I was then able to reach in and remove the “cutoff bar” and then I was also able to clean the reflector lens.

The housing has 2 halves, front and rear and they are also glued together as well as having 2 latches (latches like an electrical connector has)
I was not able to break the front housing away from the rear, but I also didn’t see any need to.

My plan with the fog lights is to remove the cutoff bars and reinstall them using the HID bulbs and pretty much use them as I would highbeams.
I’ve never really had much or any need for actual fog lights.

I thought about doing this to our Tahoe fog lights after one of the lens just fell off. Keep us posted.
