Default Ordering Headers

Doing light mods on 03 vert, 6sp. and going to order ARH headers w/cats even though the price is (whew), but you get what you pay for, right? Question is I'm slightly confused with the sensors and wiring harness extension as far as ordering with or without. Going to have a tune done also. Thank you for any input.

My LG Super Pros came with harness extensions and I needed all four. Looking at the photos of the ARH headers, I think you'll need the extensions. You can reuse your O2 sensors, new ones are not normally needed. The extensions are needed because the bungs for the O2 sensors are placed further back on the pipes with long tubes and the factory wires aren't long enough to reach.

Thank you tbrowne, that makes sense now. The various buisnesses ask different questions about the sensors and or extensions gets confusing at times. Appreciate your time, thank you.

You'll want a tune after the header install. Just delete the rear o2 sensors.

Why ARH? Hinson make a good set of headers and X pipe for a lot less.

The mechanic/tuner suggested ARHs. They install easier than most, solid header for providing good performance numbers on tunes, built in the U.S.A.. The jest of it is you get what you pay for. He use to sub-contract out to do the testing of various add ons which included headers for Hot Rod magazine and various other car publications. But I will admit the price is a bit steep and looking around for options. I think he said Kooks or Hookers were his next pick.???
