So this ad keeps popping up on my Facebook page. Any insight? Price is right but is it too could to be true?

exactly, it looks like an 88-00 civic or 90-01 integra shifter

the Hinson Shifter on that page is about the right price...$400 only $70 plus CORVETTE tax...

Foe whut its worff... The C6 Z06 shifter is a NICE upgrade... not a shorter shift, but MUCH MUCH nicer shifting... and NOT very expensive.

If you like the retro look of the old rectangular chrome stick Hurst shifters with ball ****, check out the Core Shifters version for Corvette.
All the lower shifter boxes are the same for C5-C7 so you can move it to another car if you trade up...

I like the look of the stock shifter, but it does seem to be rather clunky...

There are TWO types of Corvette shift lever upper parts. One is the OEM design. If you pull the shifter out of the lower box, the handle will and can flop around in ANY direction. In any Corvette shifter, there are NOT any gates contained in the shifter.

The second aftermarket design has springs inside the upper shifter and the springs assist the handle to the 3rd/4th N(center) gate.


All the handle does is move the rod in the lower box SIDE TO SIDE or FROWARD & AFT.

All of the GATES that you feel and the actual spring to the "3rd/4th N(center) gates" are done inside the transmission.
