I was thinking of ceramic coating headers and the rest of exhaust at least down to the axlebacks. Is this overkill or would it also help with floor pan heat dissipation or waist of money?

Ceramic coat headers and ceramic coated Elite Engineering tunnel plate WITH Thermal Abs option, FTW.

if you can afford to have the whole system ceramic coated it is not a bad thing to do... at minimum do the headers and elite tunnel plate... if you coat the midpipe that will further help with keeping the console cooler and if you coat the rear section that can help keep trans/diff fluid temps down from the decrease in radiant heat transfered from the exhaust
It can't hurt but it might be just a little bit over kill. Coating the headers does help under hood temps. The rest of the system gets a good amount of air passed over it as long as the car is moving. It's your call in the end but few go to the expense of doing the whole system.

It's a great idea. It keeps the heat down in cab quite a bit and if your cat backs have separate over the axel pipes do those too to help with the tranny and diff heat. Second benefit is how good the system looks even after a few years of use.
My long tubes and mid pipes are completely coated (except cats) to the axle back, a bit less heat through the floor and still looks like new after 6 years

This is what I did along with the Elite Engineering Tunnel Plate with Thermal ABS. There's no heat issue at all.
