Update. Using a basic vacuum actuated heater bypass valve $15, a vacuum T, and about 4' of vacuum hose you can prevent blend door issue that causes hot air to be blown out while A/C is on, mine was passenger side door. I am up at 3am when it is necessary for heat and then 80 degrees by the time I leave work. I had no desire to open and adjust the valve manually every day. I also have no desire to spend 8 hours taking the dash apart to repair properly.
Install heater core bypass valve and run the vacuum hose through firewall grommet. T into the orange wire that controls the air intake. This will bypass the heater core when the recirculation mode is selected.
I have a blend door bad and do not want to remove dash to fix it at the moment. Have a vacuum actuated heater core bypass valve installed. Wondering if there is a vac line that is only actuated when you press the A/C button that I could attach to valve??
I have attached a few pictures. I am not really versed with automobile vacuum systems but it looks as though the only way I could get a "button" on the dual climate system to actuate vacuum somewhere would be to use a "mode" selection to pull the valve **** and block the engine coolant from coming into the heater core. For instance I think it would have to be hooked up to say floor output and that would pull vac on the floor line and T off to the bypass valve. I was hoping I could find a line going to max AC and have that pull vacuum but I am not sure.
If I could find an electric vac pump or electric vac valve I could just wire into the max Ac switch with a relay.
Very sorry for the long post. Been up all night and rambling!
Any help would be appreciated! Any comments on "fixing it right" please keep scrolling.

Reason: Update
Take the dash apart and put in a new actuator. It takes about 3-4 hours to take it apart and another 3-4 hours to put it back together again. No rocket-science involved, just unscrewing and screwing back again. One day out of your life and it's done.
I replaced the drivers-side blend door actuator this past weekend. It took less than 30 minutes to remove the dash....took about an hour to replace the actuator, though; the screws are small, in a tough spot, and my hands are large! While I was in there, I installed a HUD, a new cluster, some LED's in the header panel, and leather on the A pillars, though!
Seriously....it only takes a little while to remove the dash....just do it!!

So it only took an hour and a half to remove and install the dash? Most threads I see are stating that it takes a while. During radio install several mounting points broke, I am afraid the dash would fair the same and end up not attached properly after removing.
Naaahhh....the dash is amazingly simple to remove! After removing the center armrest (5 minutes) then removing the center console (5 minutes) all you have to do is remove the glove box (5 minutes) each of the A pillar covers (1 minute each) 1 screw on each side of the dash by the doors, remove the steering wheel bolster (2 minutes) and 2 screws holding the cluster to the underside of the dash, 2 screws (1 on either side of the center console) you can lift up the dash cover, slide it out, reach in and unplug the hazard flasher, then lift out the dash cover. Super easy!
IHTH!
