I installed a new set of bi xenon radio flyer pop ups today and upon firing it up I get a weird beeping from the dash. Before I installed the car sat for a couple days. During those 2 days the battery took a dump. Completely dead, when I went to start it this morning no lights no turning over just dead. I let it sit on the charger for an hour and started it up and drove 6 miles to where I installed the lights. Well after I finished the car had enough juice to turn on accessories but not turn over. Pushed it and it started. Back to the beeps. As soon as I finished wiring up the harness I noticed this beeping. Thought it was because of battery but even after it started its still beeping. I definitely need to double check my wires as my high beam drivers side doesn't work. And pretty sure I messed up my gears (redid gears while lights were out) headlights pop up but will only go down when high beams are activated. I assume this may be related? Does it just need to be driven to "relearn" things? I have half tank of gas and noticed the range says low. Tomorrow I'm gonna pull the harness and see if it helps with the beeping. Beeping is a consistent 1/4 sec beep every 5 seconds whether car is on or key is in. Wondering if anyone has any experience. Search turned up various things but nothing like this.
you have ten seconds to get out of that and run !!!!!!!
Ok so pulled the harness and that wasn't it. Tomorrow morning weather permitting I'm pulling the headlights again and seeing what's up with that high beam that's not working. Really hoping the car is registering it's not connected or incorrectly connected and that's my issue. Will be pulling battery as well and take it to go get tested. I'm hoping that is an issue as well.
Aftermarket head unit yes, haven't ordered a blend mount yet so radar detector not installed. There is a different rear view mirror though. A p/o had an onstar mirror installed and I did hear it talk to me once. I don't believe I have a curb alert installed as I never heard it beep like this before. The beeping sounds like it's coming from the left side of the dic.
Update: solved my problem. It was definitely unique to my situation. So the p/o's lender had what amounted to a gps/remote shutdown installed on the car in case of missing payments or GPS needs. When I purchased the vehicle they mentioned that and they would have someone contact me to remove it. Well time passed and both I and they forgot about it. Unplugging the battery reset it. Luckily I was able to get ahold of the company and walked me through unlocking it. Will have someone come remove it this week.
On a positive note I love the new radioflyer headlights! Just need to readjust them. I did run into a small issue though. My lights pop up but will not go down unless I flash my brights at which point they go down.
Your issue with the Bi-Xenon lights not going down does NOT seem right. I have never encountered this problem with mine and I have had them several years.
You might want to contact George (Radioflyer) and see what he can offer for help. Good vendor with very good support for his products.... At least that has been my experience....
I'm thinking it may have more to do with my install than the headlights themselves. I gotta pull them off and double check all my connections anyhow so I'm hoping once I piece it together again it tends to work better! Will definitely be easier though since I know exactly how to pull apart and reinstall without any aid.
