1998 Base Model
Hello,
I have a 1998 base model automatic. I put Borla stinger cat back exhaust on it and had it tuned. It put out 300 rwhp and 318 ft/lbs torque. I added a vararam B2 CAI, Hinson ceramic coated headers and catless X pipe, new plugs and wires and a new fuel filter. I had it re tuned and gained 20hp and 20ft/lbs torque. It is running great. The only complaint is that there is a 1.5-2 second delay from when I punch it until it starts to really rev. It will flat put you back in the seat and even break traction at forty mph once it finally kicks in. I was told that this was due to the 2:73 rear end. Does anyone have any different ideas?

It sounds like you are having a transmission shift timing issue. OR The abuse setting in the PCM isn't set properly.
You will need to have someone with tuning software check all that and make sure that its set up properly.
