Do I need to remove shocks to change front leaf spring?
As the title says, I wonder because I have the shocks and are waiting for a new spring. I would like to do the shocks now, but I'm having a shop changing the spring, and if they need to remove the shock(s) anyway, I don't bother with changing them upfront myself....
I changed the rear ones yesterday (to Z06 type), and one of the old ones where completely gone. Quick and easy job, and a new car to drive!
No, you don't but they will probably do it the hard way and unbolt them anyways. Removing 1 wheel and 6 bolts will allow you to get the front spring out.
