Would someone please shed some light on why there are different size fuel injectors? I see for the LS1 it's 43 psi, but why a 34# or 60# and so on? How do you properly size them for your application?
The higher numbered fuel injectors will allow more fuel for your application, if you have headers, high performance cam and heads, maybe turbo, or supercharger. The number has nothing to do psi, you want to avoid to high an injector duty cycle when tuning an engine so you install higher capacity fuel injectors.

Okay, that makes since, but how do you determine proper size? I presume there is a formula?
I saw your plans on the thread where you were looking for help with a vibration issue. The cam you mentioned there was one that Comp recommended to me last summer when I was rebuilding my engine as it was similar to the trashed cam that I pulled out of the engine. I noted that I wanted to give up a little on the low end for some more on the top and they recommended their 54-428-11 cam with basically more duration than what you are looking it. Engine also has the Weiand/Lingenfelter intake manifold, long-tube headers, x-pipe, Corsa Indy exhaust, and ported and slightly milled 243 heads. I put 42# injectors on that setup which seems to have been the correct choice.
