Default C-5 Rotors

I have to replace my 4 Rotors on my 2002 coup. I want to eliminate the center covers and replace with a one piece rotors. Drilled and slotted would be a plus, but not necessary. Where can I buy these and does anyone have a part number. Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you and interested on what you plan to get.

I come across another thread that a few people purchased rotors and pads as a set from that big auction site.

I found some similar but with a reputable brand from summit. I'll PM you a link after I get off from work

I spoke with a woman at Prime Choice she didn't have a clue what I was talking about when it came to the bearing covers that cover the center hole in the rotor. I understand they machine these cover shapes into the rotor and they (the cover / caps) are not needed. Thanks

I got the DBA T2 slotted rotors with Hawk HPS pads and i like them alot. Never been a fan of drilled rotors as they tend to crack and im just not a fan of the looks and less stopping surface. I bought mine from a forum vendor on here, Marylandspeed.

The company was Prime Choice I don't know the part number, that is what I am looking for. Ecklers shows a one piece rotor like I am looking for but they are big bucks

Thanks Did you have to use the center hole covers. I hear they make rotors that don't need the covers?

Remove the wheel you are now looking at the rotor in the center of the rotor is a hat or cap or cover. This cover protects the center hub bearings. I was told that there are rotors that do not need these covers. I am going to check out Delco rotors they ay have them Thanks

You were told some bad info... ALL C5s have centering rings on each HUB that the rotor fits around. The inside of that HUB is solid and yield NO access to the inside of the hub assy.. The center is part of the HUB AXEL. The bearings are sealed inside the hub housing.

Here is a FRONT HUB ASSY. I do not have a picture of the front of the hub but you can see the rotor centering ring from the side:

Front Hub and Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) ASSY:

WSS Cap removed showing rear of axel pressed into speed ring/reluctor:

REAR Wheel Hub assy. Its center is HOLLOW because the CV Axel Shaft slips inside the center of the hub to drive the rear wheel. Theres a BIG NUT in the center of the HUB that locks the splined shaft to the hub assy and it has a centering ring just like the front hub:

Rear of hub shown:

I know of NO brake rotors that cover up that center section.

On a side note, I wire brushed the center of my hub assy and painted it with black ceramic paint. NO MORE RUST!
