When I'm rolling to a stop the engine idles between 1500-1700 rpm. The dealer said this is normal. It started after about 6000 miles. After I've come to a complete stop it idles down to 900 rpm. I have a '02 convertable. Anyone else having this problem. Are there any computer fixes to overide this?
What mods have you done to your car? I had some computer work done on my A-4 to help the car start after cam and heads install. After tweaking the computer, the car starts more consistently, but, idles fast when rolling. It has something to do with throttle positioning set up in the computer. You may have the dealer check to see where your throttle position is at while idling.
Warm up isn't the problem, does it after its up to temperature. I'm not sure but it seems to be worse when the outside temp is hot. Who can help me with the computer work?
It's a decelleration decay.. a function to keep the engine from stalling when you let off the gas. If you have an automatic and oyu are in gear that is normal...
This can be set with LS1-Edit if it really annoys you...

It annoys the snot out of me....I have driven many manual cars in the past and I am trying to get used to the way this "hangs" when you let off the gas. It really is screwing up how I have always driven. It is also annoying to rev the car when in neutral and have to wait 5 second for it to finally fall all the way back to idle from 3K RPM.
