Hi all,
I've been troubleshooting my A/C Compressor Clutch not engaging and found this wire broken near Compressor Clutch. On the second pic, I pulled it up to get a better look/pic.
Could this be the power connection to the Compressor Clutch?
Look on the compressor for the rest of the connector. If it is there or there is nothing plugged into the compressor, I would say that is your problem.
v6turbo87, to save me a bit of time hunting around down there, do you know where the electrical connects to the compressor?
Fast one, yeah I'm kinda wondering what would have caused this to be ripped/broken like this. I could understand if I had the situation you did, but all the belts are still in tact on mine.

I am not exactly sure but it will be a 2 prong connector on the front or back of the compressor.
Finally got it figured out...the compressor belt was/is breaking down and let loose pieces that must've broke the connector.
So we replaced both belts and picked up a new connector for the wiring harness that connected to the compressor.
Once we got into it, we found that the socket/connector on the compressor also got damaged to where the new connector couldn't "snap in" 100%, so we opted to use a bit of dielectric grease and some silicone to secure the connectors in place. Cheaper and easier than replacing the whole compressor.
Happy to say that so far so good...compressor's working...she's blowing cold air again...and the connectors are still connected!
You bet guys...this forum has helped me COUNTLESS times! I'm happy to help other (even in this "little" way) whenever I can. Now it's off for another "cool cruise"!!
