I think my BCM is bad but am curious if there is a relay or something else causing the problem. If the car sits more than a couple of minutes it will not start. No courtesy lights. Can't pop hatch. Half the car doesn't work. The other half is fine. Turn the key and the fuel pumps run. The guages cycle, etc. Starter wont activate though. I assume PASS Key is at fault. If I unplug and replug the battery, everything is fine as long as I start the car within a few minutes. The car then runs fine indefinitely. Also, if I disconnect the BCM and reconnect it it works.
Is it the BCM, or is there a relay or something I am missing? Any help greatly appreciated.

If you do not know how to pull the codes. Here is a great explanation including a description of all codes year 97-00. If you have a 01-03 use the 00 codes because all of the codes are the same, the only codes you will not find in the list are few new codes for 01-03. http://www.c5forum.com/ayc/dtcdic.php

Thanks for suggestions. The only useful codes I got were comm. faliures. The battery is definitely not the problem as when I disconnect and reconnect the bcm it works fine.

Thanks for tips. I ended up taking it to the dealer as I figured it was BCM and they have to program. I ended up being right. Internal short in BCM. About $300 for labor. Seems ridiculous for the labor considering I can remove the BCM in less than a minute, but they have you with that reprogramming nonsense. Oh, the BCM is $300 as well.
