So I replaced my CTS out of an abundance of caution, since the original 12 y/o sensor was in the drivers side head, but after doing some reading, I see that some swear by the LS1 having two.
Not seeing it. Did the 2004 lose the second one? I know the vacuum plumbing and other things are a bit different (no PCV valve, for example) on the 2004, but am I missing something here?
From 01-04 the schematics show an input to the IPC for Low Coolant Level. However, it shows as Not Used.
Mr. Sam
I bought a coolant tank that did not have the provision for the low coolant level for my 99 and just ran a jumper on the connector. I can see if the coolant is low !!! (because the tank is new) LOL !!
On our 04 on the edge of the reservoir tank, right next to the oil dipstick... there appears to be a connector that is NOT is use. It is just the female end and nothing running to or hooked to it...
If what your calling the coolant tank and the reservoir tank are the same thing... and I think they are.
I could NOT see any other connections, wiring, or any indication of a sensor on that tank..
