Default Is this normal...???

Here's two different shots of my clutch reservoir: one of the rubber insert w/tons of moisture built up on it and the other of the reservoir insides w/tons of blackish gunk built up on it. Is this normal?

Yup!!!

Looks exactly like mine right now. You need to clean this out often especially with an aftermarket clutch. I replaced with Castrol Synthetic. You will notice a difference eventually. I clean mine out once every other month. I just use some paper towels to soak it up and then refill the resevoir.

I thought moisture was bad for hydrolics.

I can say this, i've had this moisture and blackish gunk build up occur ever since i bought the vette 3 years ago. But like you i just clean it out with a paper towel and refill it.
