I have not pulled any codes as of yet. I do not drive the car but maybe once a week because of the crappy weather we have been getting in Ohio. I just noticed this message today upon starting the car to take for a ride. I have never seen this before. I have a stock 98. I have put on a battery tender the last few weeks, but i did not have it on for the last 3 or 4 days. Am I being ignorant or is this normal for this car to drain battery this quickly over the course of a few days?
There are several issues that can cause the LOW VOLTAGE issue/message.
You need to fully charge the battery and then see what the battery current draw is when the car is in sleep/security mode.
Is the low voltage message coming up after you start the car or before you start it?
When you see the low voltage message, you really should read the battery voltage DIRECTLY on the battery terminals with a DC Volt Meter and see if its really LOW. Post what that reading is.
Well, the voltage meter started at 12.6 dropped to 11.41. I have had on battery tender plus since yesterday, the light is still red as of this posting. Possible bad battery? Production date on battery is April 2016,

While you're at it, check the battery cable lead for looseness where it attaches to the starter solenoid. Don't just eyeball it and think "it LOOKS OK", you need to actually CHECK it for tightness. That is where the alternator cable goes to, and is also the post where the battery gets it's charging voltage from.
There are two large red cables attached there, one from the alternator, the other from the battery itself. Obviously the battery needs to be disconnected first while you check the nut for tightness.
