Default HVAC Ext Temp Forced Update Procedure

I cannot seem to find the post again but I know I read a procedure where you could hold down two or three HVAC buttons at the same time and it would force the outside temp to update immediately. Does anyone recall what button combination this is?

Well, I thought it was:

With the HVAC off, press the Auto Button, then immediately hold the Rear Defrost + Front Defog + Up Fan Buttons all together. When you try it, it's pretty ackward. I just tried it, and the display does go straight to EXT Temp, but it's not changing much. Might just be a bad day. I think my EXT sensor is getting funky so I'm just trying to remember this trick I read somewhere? Damn, old age is tough on the memory...

OK, today was a much better day and I tested this procedure, and it works fine:

With the HVAC off, press the Auto Button, then immediately hold the Rear Defrost + Front Defog + Up Fan Buttons all together. EXT Temp will update immediately.

Yep, definitely a two hand deal. But just to be clear, release the auto button before holding the 3 together. I found it easiest to hold the Defog/Defrost buttons with right hand and hit the Fan up with the left.
