Ok, I need help, My Corvette for the past 2 weeks has been running a little rough.. I changed the plugs and wires and did not help. Even before I did that the car would not start on first try but on the second try it started.. Today the car started on the second try but ran very rough then cleared up. But still at idle it ran slightly rough, so I drove the car for 1 hour to where I was going and then the car sat for about 1 hour or so.. Came back to start it and got nothing at all. Just turned over but got nothing.. I tried at least 5 times and nothing but turning over. I smelt a lot of fuel so I stopped trying. I had the car towed to a local dealer. The tow truck driver took it off the truck, I tried one more time and it started.. fuel pressure regulator? or cam shaft sensor dirty?? Please help me.. Thanks, Vinnie
Pull and post your codes. Pull all of the codes with the engine running and make note of them then clear all codes, go for a drive if you can, then pull the codes again before you shut her down.
Where is the fuel pressure regulator located? thanks for any info.. Update.. Last night I went out to try to start the car same thing would not start... I cleared all codes from the cars computer.. The car started right up... When I get home today I'm going to drive it to see what codes come up.. Thank you everyone for your input.. Love my C5 but sometimes gets frustrating!!!
Some people just like to ask questions and after they get some real good advice, just think they are really smart and do what they want anyway, like just go out and buy replacement parts. Sometimes they get lucky, most of the time, not.

I'm not going to just throw money on parts!!!! I have to check the codes first! This is why I'm on this site!!!

Easy big guy... take a deep breath... your in GOOD hands with 8vette7 just do specifically what he asked... you may learn WHY at a later juncture, but he will get you where you need to be
IF you don't fully understand the question or advise then just say ... NOT getting it can you explain further...
There is a learning curve for these cars IT'S a LOT to try and take in all at once so don't get frustrated just keep swinging...

Thank you so much for suggesting the coolant sensor.. I replaced it since was the only code.. 2 cranks and she's alive!!! Thank you so much!!
I use common sense for most stuff, if the PCM doesn't know what temperature the engine is how can it deliver the right fuel, timing etc. ??? Your welcome, glad your up and running, a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while !!!
