Code P0300 running rough after fill up. Hadn't driven car for several months prior to this occurrence. Drove it 35 miles filled up then a mile later started with flashing engine light and running rough. What should I check first? Should I drain full tank or take to dealer?
Put some Techron in the tank... Clear the codes... DRIVE it like you stole it... PULL THE CODES before you KILL the car and post them...
I wouldn't be surprised if your code and CEL disappear and don't come back....
oh yeah I forgot DO NOT TAKE IT TO THE DEALER for the love of pete....

Likely crap gas. Had that happen when returning from the Corvette Museum with my old C4. Stopped in West Virginia and there were some guys on the front step of the station smiling as I filled. Left and then couldn't climb any of the hills in West Virginia (think those guys knew something was up with the gas). It was awful, had to use the right lane because I couldn't keep up with traffic on the hills. Re-filled in Pennsylvania after burning out the bad tank, ran like of dream after only a mile on the fresh fuel.
I would be suspicious of the fuel you just put in. You need to drive it out to find out. You could drain the fuel but that is a pain. Start with the simple solution, work from there.

I had that happen, bad old gas and drove until 1/4 tank then refilled with Shell 93. After a few miles it started to run normal. I keep a bottle of Techron in the car and add to the fuel if using some "other" gas. Since, never an issue.
Put in the techron still misfiring. Code while running is now P0307 and sometimes the p0300. Drove it about 30 miles. Any other suggestions?
That's cylinder 7, which is a problem cylinder. Is the car stock? Any other issues or did this start immediately after filling the tank?
Just checked your page and the car appears stock. So barring other issues (noises, etc.) it may just be fuel. Does it skip all the time or only certain times, i.e., if you drive steady is it OK? Does it happen only when accelerating?
I would try to drive it while it is not skipping to get that tank down. You could also clear the codes and see if P0307 re-appears or whether it is a different cylinder.

First I want to thank everyone for their help. I found the number 7 coil wire had come unplugged form the coil. Simple easy fix.
Cool... glad you found it and got your issue resolved... thank you for giving the thread some closure, I hate it when someone starts one and just leaves you hanging.......
