so when i back it up in my drive way i get a pretty strong bind what feels like up in the front end. the tire actually locks up
is this a brake or a wheel alignment? or something else? Last time i though i could smell something, like tire burning or clutch smell....kinda freaked me out
drives fine forward. no visible tire wear

think i'll try 4oz of slip lock. should I do one 4oz container or 2?
I assume you refer to a friction modifier for the differential. If you've got a front tire locking up, when in reverse, modifying the action of the limited slip differential won't help. From your description, it would seem you've got an issue with a front brake.
JACK UP the front end and see if you can figure out what wheel is having the issue. Run the wheel in reverse by hand and see if you can get it to bind. Could be a wheel HUB issue and or a brake pad issue.
