I know c5's have a reputation of having great brakes, but i am looking for a little more for everyday street and occasional track use...
This is the current set up about to go on....
DBA Disk Brake Australia cross drilled and slotted rotors...$225 for the fronts
Goodridge Stainless steel brake lines $100
Hawk street performance brake pads $100 Total Price = $425 for front brake set up (add another $300 for the whole rear set up and you come up with a total of $735 for the entire brake set up incluiding pads and lines on a c5, i'll let everyone know how it works, cause this whole brake set up is cheaper then the eradispeed set up without lines or pads...
Also soon as the brakets are finished i am going to be installing new wilwood 6 piston calipers on the front from Lou at LG motorsports and i will let everyone know how it turns out  6 piston calipers are going to be about $350 each, but still a hell of a lot cheaper then a big brake kit, i'll keep all informed on performance gains

I'm not sure if you want drilled rotors on the track.
Also IMO these rotors may not get you more stopping power than oem which can be had for about $65.00 each delivered. But they certainly will look better! Also don't forget better brake fluid, something like Super Blue. Finally as I have mentioned several times before good brake duct cooling will be the best money you can spend in the brake area. DRM, or something similar will pay for themselves in longer life calipers, pads and rotors very quickly.
There was a great post about Porsche rotors for use on C5's about 1 month ago. They are cast with the holes not drilled...so they are less like to crack under heat and pressure.......also VB&P are using a Cryogenic washed rotor and have the new Titanium calipers...I have been waiting for Paul to call me for days now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! To damn busy with all those race cars.
I have the exact same setup for the entire summer now and they are pretty good. After the break in, I started to abuse the rotors to see if they will fade. I often take people out for a ride, take it out to 120 or so, slam on the brakes and watch their eyeballs pop out
I must say these brakes impress me more then my engine mod, there are no fades after repeated abuse from high speed. The rotors have not warped nor cracked yet. My goal was to reduce fade and pedal feel and this setup really helps a lot. I don't know if it stops better without some testing. If you really want to stop shorter, you should really think about getting better tires. Because with better brakes but without upgrading the tires, all you will do is to invoke ABS sooner.
BTW, I have also changed the fluid to ATF Super Blue, and installed speed bleeders. If you want to see them, click to my home page.

I was waiting on that looks like a lot of headaches and a good amount of Money....your best bet are the wilwood 6 piston calipers for the $300 or so each, and you can just bolt any good rotor right on... its also cool to have a corvette that doesn't say "porsche" or "turbo" in between the non porsche non turbo wheels :D
eradispeeds are not considered due to the price and the fact that they yield zero performance gains...the DBA rotors are said to yield actual performance results, and if they dont they only cost half the price of the eradispeeds, why pay more for the same thing?
not to flame, but I have read on this very forum that Eradispeeds do offer a performance gain in braking. They are also "guaranteed" not to warp and thats a big concern on replacement $$$. I have mine waiting for install and found them to be very inexpensive. The +1's are more expensive as two piece and billet centers, but the single piece (I got them for the rears and luckily got the +1 for front from forum) were less than 250.00. How much are you saving with the other brand ?? Whats the performance improvement ?? I would suggest looking at TByrone, Xtreme, and Thunderracing for some prices, as you may find more comparable than thought and BAER is one of the biggest names in aftermarket brakes !!
My .02 on the Eradispeed setup, on 2 occasions while hard driving I have lost the brakes. Now this may be due to the stock pads that I have not replaced with the Hawks. When I get the hawks installed I will let everyone know if this remedied this problem. BTW the Eradispeeds look awesome though!!!!!

What kind of effect will changing the calipers have on the anti-lock system?
c5_pig.....what do you mean LOST the brakes. Since they are only rotors and sizing is not changed do you mean you LOCKED up ??? Maybe you have a bad caliper, but dont understand what a rotor has to do with LOSING the brakes.
EradiSpeed™ performance OE replacement rotors deliver more than just "looks.” Every rotor in the EradiSpeed™ program has been purpose-cast, not to the OE specification of the rotor it replaces, but to Baer's specification, with improvements to increase the rotor's ability to survive in hard use. Each is exclusive to the EradiSpeed™ line and has been completely redesigned in a joint venture between Baer and Disc Brakes Australia (DBA®). All are cast with additional, higher quality iron in the "firepath," where the pad contacts the rotor, to provide a more substantial heat sink. This has two distinct benefits. First, every EradiSpeed™ rotor can be pushed farther in hard use before it heat soaks. Second, EradiSpeed™ rotors also provide greater durability. Claims of "improved durability" are often made or implied by other manufacturers, but Baer backs its claim with the industry's only "Limited Lifetime Warranty, against Warping."
When you buy the DBA's you are getting the same design but its coming from Australia. The only difference I can see is the DBA's only have two drilled holes and the Baers have four.
We have "NEW" 2-piece sport rotors with aluminum hats which we will be posting a price on soon. They work very well with our "Xtreme" double-coated calipers with titanium pistons. The "NEW" Xtreme calipers have a Formula-one heat extraction coating on the outside and a NASA heat retardent coating on the inside. We've tested the calipers in road-race and saw an amazing 50% drop in peak temperatures. Look for the post on the forum sometime next week. :flag
