I know this horse has been beaten, recycled, and beaten numerous times. I had water leaks on passenger and driver side windows. Replaced targa top side and rear weatherstrip. I still have leaks, even under normal washing without pressure washer. I have attempted the tip in , but actually made it worse. I had thought about tipping it out, and slowly tipping it in til the leaks stopped. I know the c5's are notorious for leaks at high pressure, but this is just with the garden hose set on spray!!
any additional help or advice would be appreciated.
How does the gasket look at the door jamb across the back of the targa frame and down to the other door jamb? If that makes sense...my weather strip is torn on both corners around the area of the pins that hold the top to the body...I'm hoping that is the cause for my leaks, at low pressure as well
I did not think of moving the strike, but that makes sense. I will definitely give that a try.
As far as the gasket around the door jamb, it's new. I had minor leakage before I installed the new weatherstrip, but it go a little worse on the passenger side after I installed the new weatherstrip. I went back and toyed with the tip in a little more and improved it a little. I also put dielectric grease on them.
