Default Blackwing arrived today! Real quick question...

UPS finally came today with my Blackwing. When I sold my RM Racing intake, I sent the guy the little black piece that connects the hose to the Blackwing. My question is this. Will the car run alright with that hole open? Or should I wait to drive it until I can get one? I emailed the guy I sold it to to see if he could send me the one from his stock intake. But in the event that he doesn't, does anyone here have one they don't need?

(I believe the piece I'm looking for is technically called the "seal and worm gear clamp".)

Correction:
The piece I need is called the Air intake bellow and the rubber air intake bellow grommets.

I think so anyway. I'm reading the installation instructions and trying to figure out what that little piece is called.

Okay, it's the piece that goes in the little hole right next to the cleanliness indicator. Know what I mean?

You'd better wait. The hole will allow unfiltered air into the intake. I believe the open hose will feed unfiltered air to the air pump.

:mad Damn, I was hoping it would be okay to drive without the hose connected. I haven't driven the car since last Thursday and it's driving me crazy! Hopefully, David (forum member that bought my other intake) will send me his extra.

Check with your dealer's parts department. The part may be easily replaceable. May even be common with other GM cars.

Problem solved! I went to my local hardware store and bought the proper 90 degree fitting and put it in. Worked perfect and looks identical to the factory piece. Now I can drive the Vette today!
