I took my HVAC out to resolder it to fix the dim display light, and it works great. Now the backlights do not come on. It worked before I pulled out the unit out. The AC light, recirculate and defroster lights all work just the back lighting wont come one. I checked out the fuse and seems fine, any ideas?

Had exactly the same thing happen. I actually dropped mine while it was out, so assuming that caused my issue.
If you search my posts with the same topic you'll find some assistance.
I'll fix mine this winter.

Was there no power to it? Is the connector loose or needs to be replaced?

If I remember right isn't there a slim ribbon connector that maybe you didn't hook back up or the connection not good ????
Yea I was thinking the same. I took it back out yesterday and checked for that and all seems to be good. I seen 3 ribbons total and made sure they where tight and all seem good. I would assume its a bad connection, or I screwed something else up lol. Also checked all the fuses and they are good. Im puzzled right now.

another thing I have done in the process of taking the dash parts out is moving the dimmer wheel without realizing it???

You talking about the dimmer wheel by the HUD controls? If so I didn't remove the dash just the center console. But ill check to make sure that's not the problem lol.
Took it apart again last night and checked out the circuit board and the C16 pin on the module, I didn't test it to see if it has power but I will tonight when I get home. The board all seems to be fine.
For the AC backlighting, the BCM feeds power to this. In many cases there is a cold solder joint on the circuit board of the BCM module........issue shows up over time. There is a post on here somewhere that details the fix. I did it and resolved my issue.......hope that helps.

Ill have to look into that. Just seems weird that it was working fine until I took it out to re-solder the dim display and then hooked it back up and stopped working.

Exactly same here... I'll be watching what you come up with. I won't be looking into this until winter storage time (I rarely drive my car at night anyway).

Might take it back out tomorrow and make sure all the solder is in the right places.
I repaired my hvac display about a year ago, there are small light bulbs for the back light (so I've been told) that I didn't have at the time so I haven't attempted yet. If there are bulbs in the unit maybe somehow they fried during your repair? Possibly while soldering, a nearby solder let loose?
