NO... you can get a "canned" tune like from ECS....

http://www.eastcoastsupercharging.co...&category_id=9

You should have a goal and a budget... if your doing any upgrades CAI, Headers, Cam Etc.. they should be done first and listed for your tune...

A tune on a stock engine with stock breathing is pointless. (Unless you want to change automatic shift points, I guess.)

I believe the early C4s were the last to have any kind of performance chip available.

There are NUMEROUS SNAKE OIL add on devices that actually do very little for adding HP/Tq. Most are nothing more than a resistor that changes the scaling on the Intake Air Sensor. Its a 30 cent resistor that your paying $50 for and it does more harm than good!

If you seriously want to ad power, you have to pony up the cash to improve breathing on both ends. Intake & Exhaust and then have the engine tuned.

To tune a C5, C6 or C7 PCM/ECU, you need dedicated (license) software. There are numerous vendors but the most popular are EFI Live or, HP Tuners.

There are also a little less expensive hand held units like the Predator that do some basic changes. If you have an Automatic Trans, it can do a LOT to the shift timing and shift firmness ect..

All I can say is,, DO NOT fall for the HYPE! If you want it tuned, you have to pay the price to get it done correctly.

What are your goals and how much power do you want to add???

What's your Budget for C5 Modifications???

After adding a Z06 Ti exhaust, Vararam CAI, and having a Chuck CoW Street Tune... I do have some "performance chips" on the front facia and hood of the car..

These could possible be construed as a "performance chip"

Once again I apologize I just can't resist the temptation if the thread has already been addressed...
