I had a friend of mine cut them off at a local muffler shop. My DIC hasn't flashed up any messages yet. I didn't put the O2 sims on either. I figured I would wait and see what happens. Can't tell to much SOTP difference but, outside the car at WOT it sounds good. I will be getting a Cat-Back system in a couple of weeks. I hope that makes it sound even better.
How long before I start getting codes on my DIC? All this morning I was getting "Service Column Lock" but the wheel wasn't locking this time, wierd. Maybe I broke the lock the last time it locked on me. :D I wouldn't be that lucky.
Anyway I cut those heavy ****'s off. And it sounds better anyway. Oh and I will sleep just fine tonight just incase any of you tree huggers are concerned. :reddevil
Good for you!!! :smash: Now what you need to do is get a off road x-pipe from www.breathlessperformance.com and install it as close as you can to the header exhaust and you will build some real torque to boot!! You really should get some 02 sims..you WILL eventually get codes and have to reset the DIC over and over again. It's a real PIA.
In fact you can check out my homepage for full install pics of my exhaust to see what the finished product will look like..Those cats are DEAD WEIGHT!!:yesnod: And I sleep just fine too:yesnod:
If your NOT going to go with some Long Tube headers you might want to call Ernie or Lucy at Breathless Performance(954-925-7725). He's got the setup already made uo from the exhaust manifold to the cat back INCLUDING the x-pipe. Tell him I referred you. He'll know what you need . OR go out and get a set of headres and then you will see between 18-20 RWHP ...There WILL be a SOTP difference.:yesnod:
IMO you will have picked up a few ponies without the cats and a little torque but with adding the x-pipe alone figure a solid 5-7 RWHP/ 5RWT.. :yesnod:
I had this pipe and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It fit like real garbage.

Now what would Al and Tipper say if they read this post? They would probably dismount their favorite tree and "skip" over to your home, force you to listen to Barbara Striesand CD's while they tell you the sad, sad story about the shrinking of the wilderness, the pollution of our environment, and how it all started with you taking your cats off. Not to mention the declining and soon to be extinct white spotted New York subway rat. It's a very sad thing to happen to such a helpless creature.
I am going to TNT tomorrow night. I think it is finally supposed to be cooler. Anyway I think that they have the NHRA stuff next week so if I don't go I will have to wait 2 weeks.
Cool, I might be out there next Sunday. I got my head back from ARE, plan on putting her back together this weekend. Almost time to start the terrorising, instagating, aggitating and aggrevaiting on the streets!!!!!! :reddevil

don't bother buying O2 simulators , I had Cat's out two years ago , I went throug 2 set of O2 sim. , both went bad after 6 and 8 months . for now reset any cods you get , and later you can re-program the computer .
