Is anyone else experiencing this. I just can not seem to keep these things on. You know, the little plastic covers that go over the lugs. I am getting tired of replacing these things, at least they are cheap. I am tempted to just take em all off and let the lugs be exposed. Does anyone have another solution?
I check mine all the time since losing one, but what about using some soft glue like silicone? That should keep them on while preserving your ability to remove them with a wrench.

Silicone works great. Keeps them very well secured while preserving the ability to easily remove them when necessary
Put a 19mm socket on a long extension and then tighten just a little by hand. They will not come off anymore. Had the same type of cover on my 86 for 10 years and never lost a single one of them. Same for the C5. Tightening them this way keeps kids from taking them off unless they have a tool.

Stop overtightening them and they'll be there every morning. Too loose is better than too tight. I know they use a 3/4" wrench but they're only plastic.
Bought a set of chrome lug nuts from a supporting vendor on this forum. The cheap grey covers came off one at a time and if you keep buying them, you would have paid for the lug nuts. The chrome ones are real sharp looking and should be on there in the first place.
What are these gorilla lugs that you guys are referring to? Do the metal lug covers come in a non chrome version. My wheels are not chrome finish, but the standard metallic silver.
I left them off when I switched to the High Polished wheel. I am constantly taking the wheels off the car for various reasons and the lug covers would be a real pain. I will be happy to sell them to anyone interested. Make an offer. I will post then in the parts for sale section.

GM is now making stainless steel caped lug nuts. They run about $44 a set (16) from Fichtner and they sell the locking set (4) for $23.
