OK, so I spent $161 on a two core radiator from ebay with free shipping.
The radiator is all Aluminium, the radiator came with two brass adapters that were suppose to fit a 1997-2004 corvette, but don't.
So I guess I need to know the thread specifications for the Transmission lines on the OEM Radiator, I emailed the guy that sold me the radiator for the specs for those threads.
curious as to how this radiator will hold up for you. i need to upgrade mine as well. just dont want to spend 500-600 for one
I got mine from ECP. Think it was like $260.00 Bolt in. With the Maggie cam headers etc. The heat exchanger for the Maggie. In AR at 100degrees stock radiator couldn't cut it. Put this in worst I've seen in traffic sitting still 100 degrees air on was 215. usually at that temp down the highway 194

Same here but with a Vortech blower. The ECP is a nice unit. Ive had mine for 6yrs
Temp stays below 212F, even in the Hot Midday Florida sun in the stop and go traffic in Cocoa Beach and Daytona.

I'm not having a pi$$ing contest with you BUT... being is South Florida,
I stay below 200 in stop and go traffic in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami.
"Just sayin".

Are you running an automatic or a stick?
mine is an automatic and I have a stock thermostat.
It was a PITA to put in and had to modify it a bit, I have only had it in for two days so far, but it seems to have fixed my overheating situation.
The quality is far superior to the OEM, as this one is 100% Aliminium and no plastic and a two row core.
it looks an awful lot like the Dewit........
Temp in the mid day hot Florida sun in stop and go is 207F my car is an automatic.
Remember Automatics are disapating more heat than sticks, because they are getting heat dumped into them by both the engine and transmission.
I'll post again later in the week to give a status and a list of mode I had to do to the radiator, very minor, but for the price not bad
chances are that is what they copied. if they use a decent grade of aluminum and the welds are done right you can have fairly nice intercoolers and radiators come out of the chineese sweatshops.
one brand i always wish picked up the c5 was koyo. they are a japaneese company that's every bit as good as becool and dewitt but charges half as much
i suspect one reason for the huge markup on c5 rads from the few american vendors who make them is rooted in how few they sell per year. add in labor, insurance, overhead etc they probably spend $150-200 to make one so $600 becomes a natural retail price point

Hey Tony, its an automatic with a 160 tstat and about 145,000 miles.
New overflow tank, new hoses, new water pump, fresh coolant mixture and new 18 psi cap. I clean the radiator/ A/C at least once a year.
Its still hot a hell down here...help!
P.S. Go with a 170 or 160 tstat? Worth a try and yes guys, I realize how a tstat works and it just opens at a lower temp and doesn't make your engine run cooler. That p s do it or am I in for a flaming?

Reason: add p. s.
Did the same thing not regretting one minute of it, radiator and fans about $1000. Runs about 185 at all times with the tune I have. Low fans come on at 160 high come on at 175. Have modifications. Both of these are DeWitts.
