I did the same thing when I had my supercharged c5 automatic car. I bought a mishimoto radiator 3 core and it worked great. overheating stopped and the car never got to 200 in very hot hot south florida. I would not hesitate to buy another. mishimoto is a radiator used by lots of drifter cars in japan. a great piece. a little modding to jam in the 3 core solid aluminum unit but I only paid 250.00 for it as opposed to the 700+ dewits wanted.

"Just sayin".
My cooling system is stock except the 160 thermo and I am lucky to see 207. I also have an automatic and I am in Southwest Florida. Automatics in our C5's are in the rear obviously so there is no real heat dissipation to the motor. Then again I use a 70 water/30 antifreeze At idle at a light it will go up to 190-207 if I am stuck at a long red and once I get moving it drops back down to 174 cruising. I also added diesel turbo water wetter to the coolant and because I run a higher concentration of water then antifreeze my cooling is 100% better then before. Almost too cool. BUT because of that it is keeping my oil temps below 195 which I love. 190 is operating temp for oil and also burns off the extra moisture if any. I will see if the mixture is any better once we hit summer here but I am leaning towards it staying around the same.
