Will a C5 z06 muffler axle back mount to a base midpipe on a 1999 C5? I have heard the mid pipes and headers were a little different from base to z06 so I wasn't sure if I needed to change everything out.
You will not have any fitness problems with the TI exhaust. If you have a lift, putting them on is not a problem, using jack stands requires extended heights on both front and rear tires. Search the back threads for exact details when using jack-stands.

Thanks for the input. A local guy is selling the mufflers and I wanted to pick them up. My 1999 has the stock black tipped horn looking exhaust tips. I don't expect a performance bump going to the Ti muffler but I think it will look better.
I am happy with the sound of the OEM exhaust and don't want anything too much louder, from everything I have read the Ti muffler will only be slightly louder at WOT so it sounds like a good pick for me.
Yep, you'll sound a bit louder/better, lose 25#, and look nice as well. All good. If the main objective is nice tips, any muffler shop can do that much cheaper tho.
Me, I'd like a bit louder than my LS6, headers, Magnaflow cats and X, into Ti's.
