Brake Upgrades
The FNSL4 is available in both "caliper kit" form as well as complete BBK form. Both are 1.10" wide set ups. The kit can be had in 13 and 14" form.
You cannot modify the caliper kit to accept a 'later purchased' 2pc hat/rotor of 14".
If you're looking for 1pc rotor (oe) style format thees caliper kits are in ideal design and value purchase. We stretch the 13 to the 13.4 size with a small change and fee.
If in the future you are looking to do larger rotors....by all means buy the full kits right from the start. It's far less money to do this one time than spend another $7-800 an axle for hats and rotors.
It appears that for the fronts (Aero6), both 14x1.25 inch OE rotors and two-piece hat/rotors exist. Therefore, I could swap them if I so chose.
On the rears, I have to choose between a 14x1.1 inch two-piece rotor setup, and a 13x1.1 or 13.4x1.1 OE rotor (using your mod) setup. Same caliper, but different mounting hardware, and the parking brake has to come out for the BBK (or, at minimum, the parking brake shoes adjusted to be entirely ineffective).
Right? The actual calipers can accept a variety of different diameter (not width) rotors, but the mounting hardware differs, fitment differs, etc.
So the best choice for me, since I need a parking brake, is your 13.4" FNSL4 caliper kit, not the BBK, as far as I understand it.
