Not having any issues but was wondering, should I have issues with ignition switch can I just use a jumper wire to start the car buy jumping purple and red wires at the tdr relay with the key in the ignition and set to run?
Can this be considered a work around until ignition switch is replaced?
first thanks for your reply, 2nd I thought if there is a problem with the switch I can just jump it at the tdr relay since there may be issues with the contacts in the switch? By doing this wouldn't I be eliminating the switch from the problem by manually jumping as long as the key is in the run position and I have power to all accessories.
Should the key not be set to run manually jumping the red and purple thick wires at the tdr relay I think would cause the starter to engage and try to turn the motor over but wouldn't be able to start the car because all accessories will be powered off?

It should be set to run, but what if some other function is not getting power ??? Fuel pump, BCM, PCM, injectors ????? That is why I said the older cars it would work, we did it all the time, how cars were stolen, one hot jumper to the coil and a screw driver on the starter !!!!
