I just picked up a 03 C5 Z06 with a SLP loudmouth exhaust. I also picked up a OEM Z06 titanium exhaust to replace the SLP. I looked under the car and it looks like the OEM mounting hardware is all missing. What do I need to purchase to install the OEM exhaust? Attached is a picture.
To get to it, you need to remove the rear cover and the bumper absorber (foam cover) from the bumper beam. you access the holes through the end of the bumper beam.
In my case, I wanted to add a rear tow hook and the stock screws are too short for both the tow hook and the mufflers I had. I made my own using some 1 x 1/4" flat stock and some longer metric bolts. I used the existing holes in the bumper beam to locate where to drill the holes in the steel stock. I had my friend tack weld the bolt heads to the flat stock to capture them.
The hanger looks like this:
My car is a mostly a track car so you can see how it melts from the heat of the muffler.
The rear cover/fascia is not very hard to remove and install. You can access all of the mounting bolts through the rear tail light holes.

Reason: Added hanger pic
ive welded probably 30 minutes my entire life and i think even thats sufficient to build a bracket. im not sure what the repercussions would be of not having the rubber part, but it'd be easy to fab up hangars and a plate that bolts to the factory location.
then again, there's several c5's being parted out in the for sale section and i doubt many people would fight you for that part.

If you fab a muffler bracket, be sure to use some kind of rubber isolation otherwise it'll be loud (rattling) and/or create a lot of vibration. The end of the muffler support bracket was making contact with the tow loop and made a pretty good racket. I sliced a piece of heater hose and put it over the end of the muffler support bracket and its much better now.
I was surprised how much the exhaust moves under track conditions. I use header wrap on the mid-pipe and over axle pipes to try to reduce some of the heat going into the trans and diff. On my stock Ti mufflers, it almost rubbed through the wrap off in a couple places.
