Main Seal Front/Rear change...
Front main seal
Rear main seal

thought I would post main seals separately. Existing seals were not leaking at all but, with 73k mi. decided to go ahead and change since it will never get easier than this.
Both seals from GM dealer. Front seal was a cinch in and out. Front replacement seal snapped in evenly with strong thumb pressure. Verified with light tap w/dead blow mallet and tool.
Rear seal took a little effort to get out. New seal went in only partially with thumb pressure. Used light tap with mallet and socket, snapped right in nice and even and flush.
Heads up (probably not new news), the new rear main seal from GM does not look like the original. No longer has the obvious cup design for front/back. But, it does have tiny markings that say "this side out". I was able to dope out which side was which but didn't see the instructions until afterwards. Read package insert.
