installing the TSP headers and x pipe Monday. Any tips or suggestions for install? I've done a headers install before on previous cars just looking to make the install as smooth as possible.
Drivers side...
I went from the bottom, had to have the bottom of the car about 28" off the floor. It took some time to get the right angle, and I had to remove a bolt off the motor... but overall it went well.
Some have installed from the top, do a search (use C5 corvette TSP headers install from top using Google, not the CF search). Think only the alternator had to be removed. I had read previous that they could only be installed from the bottom...
The passenger side dropped in place like nothing, starter stayed in place, etc.
I've installed my TSP headers from the top atleast 10 times. If you will remove both valve covers, the alternator, the dip stick tube, unbolt the steering shaft from the rack, and remove the oil filter, they will both drop right in with almost zero hassle.
All after you have removed your stock manifolds of course.

Take some tin snips and cut the bottom out of the first and last bolt hole on the gaskets. Then you mount the headers with the first and last bolt, slide in the gasket , then finish with the other bolts. It saves a lot of headaches.
