Hood not closing

Hood not closing
Having a problem with the passenger latch closing. Is this s known problem?

how are you closing it ??? letting it drop ??? I lower mine down then push down on each side til I hear the latch click !!

Mine will not do that...needs to be dropped. Are my latches shot?

Try some wd40 on the hinges first. My be a touch out of alignment.

Lube the latches...suggest something other than WD10. A white lithium would be better and longer lasting.

I just bought an 02 Z06 with this exact same issue... Driver Side latch wouldn't latch without some pressure on the hood.
I ended up greasing it with some white lithium grease, and it worked very well. Hood closes perfectly with simply dropping it, no pushing on the hood over the latch required.

Same here. Hold the hood in the center, lower it to about 6 inches and let it drop...latches every time.

Same here. Lower it and a simple push above each latch with thumb and two fingers and it locks up. Glad to hear I am not alone.

Hinges
Raised hinges 1/32 up and it fixed the problem. Out of wack from some dummy dropping the hood shut everytime.
