Im about do change out plugs thinking of going with something a little different. Has anyone tried out the Denso Iridium's?
The Denso is a factory plug. Just took them out of my car at 25,000 miles they looked great. I did put in the AC Delco Rapid Fire plugs and new RED factory wires. Quite honestly the car ran great before and still runs great now. :D
I just changed over to NGK TR55 plugs. If you want longevity, use platinum tip plugs like the stock plugs. If you want performance (but lesser life), use the copper core plugs like NGK TR55.

How long does the NGK's last for? I just had them put in last Satuday. My car runs like a raped ape now. :jester
I replaced the OE plugs with Bosch +4 on my Z06 and saw a top end improvement. The OE plugs only had 5,500 miles but with a lot of WOT autocross use. The factory gap on the OE plugs is wide enough to drive a truck through. The Bosch +4 plugs have side electrodes and do not require indexing or gapping.
IMO you should install new sparkplug wires with new plugs.
I just installed the new NGK TR55 Iridiums and the Magnecor 8.5mm wires last weekend. I swear I can feel an improvement in response. I just hope the NGK's last a while, as I "forgot" to use any antiseize on them
I pulled the stock ACs at 11,000. They looked fine. Replaced with NGK tr55 and MSD wires. DId so mainly to get some new plugs in before the old ones became tough to remove. New plugs call for only 11-12 foot pounds of torque, the old took at least 30 ft. pounds to break loss.
The car runs great, no notable difference before or after.
