I think I need to replace my instrument cluster, when it's cold the speedo and tach needles stick on the sweep and will go back to normal once warmed up inside.
The question is if I buy a used one, do I use my DIC button module to retain my miles and if so how difficult is it to switch the DIC module?
It looks as though when you purchase a cluster it comes with the DIC.
The mileage is stored on an EEPROM chip on the main circuit board of the cluster. The DIC is part of this main board. The EEPROM can be replaced with the chip from your original cluster, to retain your original mileage.....there is a post in this forum that discusses this....
