DRL Fuse fixed c1214 ebcm error?
so a few months ago I noticed a post here how to disable drl and keep the reverse lights lighting up think its called approach lights? while also disabling the drl, so I pulled relays on passenger side floor cut and put in small pieces of an expired credit card and all was good and working how I wanted.
What I have noticed is since then each time I press lock or unlock button on key fob doors always lock or unlock 1st time I know because I have gotten in the habit of always checking if they lock, I have never gotten any errors like c1214 for the ebcm or anything else. Alls working great for the past few months.
Only other thing I did to the car when I changed how I disable drl was send temp display in for rebuild because of a dim display I was told I had 3 bad resistors in temp display unit and they were replaced.
Car is my daily driver and prior to replacing drl fuse and having temp display fixed I would notice at least once a week the doors would not lock on 1st attempt also if car sat for a day or so would always get the service traction control or c1214 error which would then go away after driving car for 5 min.
Just wondering if this is possible? Yesterday I removed ground connectors under hood and cleaned although were not that dirty at all. But wanted to be sure grounds were clean.
Not sure this is a fix but my want to try if anyone having any of the issues I have had in the past?
