Re: Getting parts cryogenically treated for optimum performance.... (90 droptop)
This tech. has been around awhile, I used to use it while building high powered rifles for competition. It does work.
I'm just curious if anyone here actually use it on performance parts such as block, crank, pistons, rods, and so on.....The price isn't too awefully expensive at all.

Tuan, it works...
And John & Tommy Costales (Houston Balance and Machine) have the facilities in Houston to do cryo work. John is the one doing that now, full time. You can go by, and they can show you the diffence. You can tell on cransk by the way they resonate afterwards. You hit a counterweight of an untrested crank, it makes one sound hit the counter weight of a treated one, its sound totally different. Blocks that are treated sound different when you are boring them. Only, I think I would take my parts after they are machined, that way to don't introduce any stress risers after the treatment process.
Once you are done there, then take all your parts over to Keith Crump at PolyDyn, and get them coated.
