Quicktime Blowproof Bellhousing removal
I have my 2001 Z06 in the shop to get a new LS7 clutch and torque tube rebuild. Neither I nor the shop new there was a Quicktime Blowproof bell housing already installed. After disassembling the underside, they realized they would have to take a different approach; from the top side. So they loosened the engine, tilted it enough to slide the bell housing off.
Now he wants an additional 11 hours labor. I don't know if that is fair or robbery. I appreciate input from someone knowledgeable in this area.

It does make more work for a clutch job, since it's one solid piece and the bottom doesn't come off like a stock bell. Maybe consider leaving the top bolts out, so it's easier to remove next time? An EXTRA 11 hrs seems like alot, but what can you do.
