Default F55 shocks again

Hi all
Love the site and I read all the posts I can. This is my first time posting. I have a 2003 c5 AE with the F55 suspension. I have read all the posts regarding the F55 issues including those from the venerable Mr Curlee. I have not found the answers to these particular questions however, so please bear with me.

1. I know if I replace the shocks with either c6 or bilsteins, i'll get the 80 mph limit error message. With my 2003 AE model, can the f55 be permanently deleted with the tech 2? Or will the error recur? I've been told the AE is a different beast.

2. Can it then be reloaded at a later time if I wanted to return to stock?

Thanks

Here is how to do it with the Tech2

1. Hook up Tech 2, turn car on, make sure module in the rear is plugged in. Do not unplug the rear module.
2. Use Tech 2 to delete the F45 option (F55 does not appear on the menu screen, use F45).
3. Save new configuration.
4. Do not turn car off, do not remove Tech 2. Go to the module in the rear of the car, unplug the grey connector (the widest one), leave any other plug(s) in. [leave the other 1 (F45) or 2 (F55) plugged in]
5. Turn off car, leave Tech 2 plugged in.
6. Remove remaining plugs from module in the rear of car. [never plug them back in again, if you do the F45 turns on automatically]
7. Turn car on to verify the "max speed 80 mph" is gone.
8. Unplug Tech 2.
9. Never plug the connectors back in.

I appreciate that a lot. Is that a permanent delete?

Ahh. I understand. So it follows then that it can be returned to stock form with oem shocks and a hardware reconnect.
