What header bolts for LS6
About to install a set of LG long tubes on my 02 ZO6 and searching for a decent set of header bolts. I see two different lengths (0.984 & 1.185) and a multitude of options from the Fleabay stuff to Stage 8 Locking Bolts (which look to be a pain in the **** to deal with the "C" clips and, of course, the ARP's. Anyone with experience make a good suggestion for me please?

stock work just fine or polished stainless if you want something that looks nice... I'm personally not a fan of studs, for me they just get in the way

I used stock but they bottomed out so i went studs. Ebay had stainless with the nuts for about thirty something $ and they worked perfectly. Nuts have the serrated bottom so they dont losen up. Had them on for over a year no issues. Also used a remflex gasket that ensured no leaks.

I "assumed" the length would become an issue with oem bolts and header flange thickness. I haven't taken the stock manifolds off, but I was thinking that the stock pieces would have thicker flanges. Am I wrong there? That's the biggest part of the "could" in my head, actually. Bolt length.... Just as already posted in this thread by others, it seems that oem bolts work in some cases and not in others with regards to length. I don't think studs are the answer for me in this particular situation. Just looking for a set of bolts that are not going to have me chasing leaks and that will actually fit properly.

potz speed and performance used to sell some really nice polished bolts on ebay for cheap but it doesn't look like they have anything listed on ebay anymore, not sure what happened there
