I have a 2000 Vette that has a lighting issue. I took it to my mechanic to have a actuator changed for the A/C. When I received the car back, I noticed that the warning bell was going off when I opened the doors. I didn't think too much about it. then I noticed that the parking lights came on when the doors was opened also. I started to freak out. That night, the interior lights came on when I turned on the headlights.
The new 700 cold cranking amps Die Hard battery goes dead after about 4 days.
I have had it the Viper alarm checked in hopes that the wires might be loose, on go.
My question, is the wires crossed to the two sets of lights? if so, what do I look for and where?

Sounds like you could have an issue with your steering column multifunction switch.
There is a small button on the left side of the steering wheel that adjust the interior light intensity. Push it and it will POP OUT and you can adjust it. IF,, it is turned ALL THE WAY clockwise, it will keep the interior lights on.
Try that first.
The chime is telling you something is left on that shouldn't be or you left your KEY in the ignition. There is a key sensor switch inside the ignition switch that may not be opening and the car thinks you left the key in the ignition.
If the multifunction switch no longer turns all the lights OFF, it is damaged. Common issue..

That should give you several things to check....
Thanks, but will that make it seems like a couple of wires are crossed. when the doors are opened, the park lights comes on. Also, when I turn on the headlights, the interior lights also comes on. Putting it up for the winter, but want this issue resolved first.
