I was looking to make some fr wheel ramps. I have some osb sheets of wood. Could i use them layered together to make some ramps? Do you think they would support the car well?
If you mean the end result would be solid wood top to bottom, sure. Even a very short span would snap like a toothpick though. It would be tremendously easier to build ramps like the previous post (I made 2 or 3 sets similar).
thks for the replies. I had the wood laying around so i thought i would put it to good use. My idea was to lay it on top of each other and screw it together. Did not know if it would be safe or not.
If that's what you're doing you should be fine--if you're laying the whole schmear on the ground (see attached pic) and as long as the layers are wide enough. If you plan to have any unsupported length, like pounder's pic has (with blocks in the middle and end), then no, don't use OSB--it has little flexural strength, even if laminated.
If they're anything like my Rhinos, they won't work--Vette is too low. You need Race Ramps, unless you're using some other kind of supplemental ramp to get a couple more inches up to the Rhinos.

When I used Rhino Ramps years ago, I had to put carpet Squares under the ramps to keep them from sliding forward.
I used the rhino ramps without a problem. They did hit the bottom spoiler a little bit. They did want to slide a little bit. I will try the carpet good idea.
