Just took mine apart last night because it stopped working. Found 3 CD's jammed in the player. Put it all back together and now I get nothing. Power light is on but it won't load a CD and it won't eject the magazine. Now I have to buy a used one so I can get music.
I'd love to put Bluetooth and Sirius in it but that costs way to much (in my opinion) for me to do. If only there was an inexpensive option that doesn't involve completely ripping out the existing system or downloading music to an I-pad or something.

I installed that Pax unit and a Music Stream ISB23 Bluetooth unit. I can stream Sirius, Pandora etc. through my Android Smartphone via the Sirius App and Pandora app. Both together were less than $100.00.
Sirius requires a active subscription and $4.00 extra a month for the plan that I have to access the streaming add on. Pandora is free.
To me it sounds good for the investment. Good luck with your decision.
I did this this and it works great. As someone else suggested I installed the jack in the console. It's a little handier there I think. I also installed a BlueTooth adapter.
I suggest using solid wire cat5 cable instead of the stranded stuff. It's a lot easier to solder. Also try to use the same colors of wire from the cable that Tyler_RN_EMT used. This way you can go back to the thread to troubleshoot if something doesn't work.

Reason: word left out
Read through it carefully, there is a lot of information, some of it is a bit confusing. The end result however is more than satisfactory for plugging in almost any earphone equipped device.
If this will work for you, you can send it off to the folks here and they will do it for you. They're very quick easy to deal with and the cost is reasonable. They also offer the option of a remote plug in, such as in the console. It utilizes the radio only and doesn't interfere with your current remote changer.
I have an 01, so it has a cassette player..I put in a cassette that plugs into my iPod down loaded all the music I like. Not the best looking (wire exposed) but it works and the next time I have the console apart. Will make it nice then. Great info, thanks all.
