Default Drag radials

Im shopping for some track tires for next summer and I would like some advice from you guys. I have a c5z (6 speed) and im working on the car as we speak and im shooting for +\- 650whp. These tires will only be on the car for 1/4mile and 1/8mile and will never run on the streets with them, I will switch them at the track. Also Im not necessarily shooting for VERY low 60ft since I dont want to break my whole drivetrain right away Id be happy with a 1.7, meaning I dont need a crazy sticky tires. I read a lot about bias ply tires being the best choice for stick cars, I also know the sizes are very limited and m/t stopped making our sizes and I heard even hoosier did. I looked up m&h but cant find which one is bias ply (and if they even have it) Ill probably have to call them. I was wondering if I can keep my 17" stock front speedlines and put a pair of tires on them? I dont know if they're large enough? I know some guys use them but I dont know how it works out for them. If I go with stock 17" speedlines is there any size biasply out there that could fit? If not I can always buy a set of 16" wheels if I can easily find a biasply, if not If I go with regular drag radial on 16" it will have a little bit more wall will i still break easily?

Only bias ply i found out there is hoosier qtp 26x9.5x16 . There seems to be no other brands that make biasply that fits our cars. Forget about 17 and 18" bias ply theres none. Only other choice is going 28" but then id have to adjust my suspension everytime i go to the track since the car is slammed even on 26" its close to rubbing. Hoosier's are not very large (9.5"), is anyone running them? Aside from those i got to compromise either going 28" or drag radials non-bias ply. Any suggestions?

I have a set of Hoosier DR's 17" on the stock 5 spoke C5 wheels with a set of M&H RaceMaster skinnies on Weld Racestars. (They are for sale.) The Hoosier DR's, imo, are the BEST for the track. They are basically a slick with a few grooves in them.

Those are regular drag radials, right? Is your c5 a stick car or auto? What kind of 60ft you getting with those? My other option is going with regular drag radials like yours and maybe inflating the tires a little bit more so they dont dead hook
